If you are trying to be more personal, Facebook will be your best option. If you are trying to gain exposure and broaden your clients, Instagram is your way to go. Both platforms have pros and cons, it depends on what you are trying to do and how you see your business or brand growing. Take time, do your research, keep creating!

In a world where social media is king, it is not a matter of whether to use social media, but rather which one to use. There has been an ongoing debate about the decision to use either Instagram or Facebook. While instagram is owned by Facebook, both platforms differ in many ways. In order to decide which one would be beneficial for your brand or business, let’s discuss some of the differences and similarities. Some commonalities are being able to post whatever and whenever you desire. Having this freedom is probably the top reason so many people are drawn to it. Another reason being the wide audience reach and  the opportunity to grow. Though these are some great similarities, there are a few major differences.

While Instagram is more public and anyone who stumbles across your page can access your content on the downside, with it being so accessible, sometimes people can easily imitate or steal your content. Facebook keeps you connected to those you know personally, while Instagram focuses on connecting you to people you have never met.  On Instagram your following can grow quickly, with Facebook you still need complete human interaction. If you are trying to be more personal, Facebook will be your best option. If you are trying to gain exposure and broaden your clients, Instagram is your way to go. Both platforms have pros and cons, it depends on what you are trying to do and how you see your business or brand growing. Take time, do your research, keep creating!
